After obtaining her Laurea in Lettere Classiche at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” Prof. Galante passed the qualifying exams to be a teacher of Italian literature, history, geography, and art history in the Italian public school system. Subsequently, she did a post-graduate specialization course in teaching Italian as a Second Language at the University of Rome “Roma 3.” She has also taken numerous training courses in new teaching techniques (at Dilit – Società Dante Alighieri - Associazione Culturale “Italiano per te”). Prof. Galante has taught Italian language and literature, history and geography in Italian Public Middle and High Schools and worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affaires (Cultural Relations Department) as Scholarship advisor in evaluating scholarships for students from developing countries. In the past she has taught in other American universities, foreign cultural institutes and foreign embassies in Rome. At present she teaches at John Cabot University, Richmond University, and the Università Urbaniana (Vatican City).
