Having lived in Africa, Europe and Latin America thanks to his parents’ diplomatic career, Professor Geoffrey Crossley got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in Colombia, and an M.B.A. degree from Insead, and brings four decades of consulting, investing and management experience to teaching. Over ten years in Mckinsey & Company, he served clients in the Auto, Steel, Consumer goods and Oil & Gas sectors in Spain and Italy, before opening activities in Portugal. There he transitioned to the Board of Entreposto Holding and CEO of Portugal’s Nissan and Subaru and Porsche importer whose results over 5 years funded the acquisition of Jumbo hypermarkets from the Brazilian group, Pao de Açucar. A return to strategy consulting followed with five years as Global Account Manager, Europe for Monitor Company. He then joined antfactory, a venture capital firm focused on new technologies, as Director International, and became CEO of antfactory Latin America up till the sale of the company to Seymour Pierce. A return to Italy followed as Country Manager of Logoplaste (Plastic Packaging), while joining the Supervisory board of Eurocash SA Cash & Carry in Poland. There, after the 2005 IPO he became Strategy and M&A Director making eight acquisitions in five years, and he then stayed on advisor for Investor Relations till 2020. Since 2014, Geoff is co-founder and Chairman of MCA Ltd, an advisory firm based in London and New York. Finding investment opportunities mainly in Italy, he has recently moved residence to Rome, and published his first acoustic guitar album, “Just Chillin” after the pandemic lockdown.
