The Case of Enel and Eni". BA in International Business Capstone, John Cabot University, Rome, Italy. 2024.https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14490/832This study investigates different CSR and sustainability practices, and the various benefits and limitations of first and second movers within the renewable energy market. Through exploratory interviews with sustainability experts and a comparative analysis of Enel S.p.A and Eni S.p.A, we examine the differences of developed and developing countries in implementing sustainable practices, the benefits and limitations of first and second movers, and how relationships between companies and stakeholders improve with the implementation of sustainable practices, ultimately impacting the financial performance of companies. Overall, our study shows that, even though both companies are applying different strategies, implementing CSR initiatives in the business plan generally implies an improvement in financial performance.enAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Sustainability in Energy SectorCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR)Renewable Energy Market StrategiesStakeholder Relationships and Financial PerformanceSustainability in the Energy Sector: A Study of Proactive and Reactive Approaches.
