Lauf, Cornelia
Institutional profile
For the graduate program in art history, I teach "Fabricating Rome," an artisanal heritage preservation course via strategies derived from contemporary art. At the start of my teaching career, I taught courses in theories and methods of art history and contemporary art, but my focus in the last decades has been on an activist interpretation of the field, and creating a socially useful acadedemic practice. I mentor students in professional experience seminars, have co-taught writing workshops, and conceived an undergraduate course on critical mapping, for the Department of Art and Design.
